whats up with mattjonesart?

Hi art lovers,

   I’m happy to say,my art is better than ever! Just finished my 6and7th wine labels for Bradley Brown@big basinvineyards.com. Both fun projects,one is called “Homestead” Bradley suggested a porch of an old cabin,rustic look,so i used charcoal,did this rickity porch seen with old rockingchair,shotgun,winebarrel,banjo and Bradleys dog Krishna looking over the vineyards. The other label was an impressionistic row of his vineyards,Bradley said he wanted magenta and purples,so of couse i made the sky and the ground magenta and purple ,the grapes blue.He said ” it’s not what expect,but i love it!’

Plus i just handed over the Monterey bay Aquarium commisssioned painting to my friend and head diver at the Aquarium.George and a bunch of fellow friends and workers pitched in and bought their boss this painting for retirement gift. If i do say so myself,it came out killer,feels like your floating in the kelp forest.

Getting syke for my first 2 shows,first ones on the Eel river up north by Garberville callled the Benbow Lake summer fest. Two stages great music fun crowd,I’ll have a boothwhere you can look and purchase[hopefully]my latest 3D paintings. also I’ll be painting “LIVE” ON STAGE” . THATS JUNE 5TH AND 6TH right on the river its beautiful,plus super fun and in expensive great time!!!      then the next weekend HARMONY FEST in SANTA ROSA 11TH, 12TH,13TH CHECK THE PLAYLIST harmonyfest.com again Karen [girl friend] and I will have our booth and Iwill be painting LIVE , will be insane! last year India Arie[grammy awrd winner] came singing off the stage into the crowd grabbed the painting i was doing of her took on stage and heald it above her head and the crowd went crazy,then she sang with it all night, then i went back stage after the show and gave the painting,she said she as the other one i gave her on her bedroom wall and she loves it! if you go to my website its called INDIA BLISS.
